Who I Am, Before You See Me

Most people meet me on the surface.
They see the work.
They see the stillness.
They see the distance, the quiet, the way I move through moments instead of rushing them.
And naturally, they fill in the blanks.
That’s human.
But before you misunderstand me on the natural level, I want you to understand where I stand spiritually, because that’s where everything I create comes from.
I’m Not Led by Noise
I’m led by awareness.
Spiritually, I believe life is always speaking, just not always loudly.
Some people hear meaning in sermons.
Some find it in scripture.
Some in silence.
I find it in observation.
In the pause before a sentence.
In the way light leans against a building at dusk.
In moments that don’t ask for attention but deserve respect.
That’s not distance.
That’s reverence.
I Don’t Worship Perfection
I Honor Truth.
Spiritually, I’m not interested in appearing whole.
I’m interested in being honest.
I believe growth happens when you stop pretending you’ve arrived.
When you let contradiction exist.
When you allow sadness, joy, confusion, and hope to sit at the same table.
If you’ve ever mistaken my calm for coldness,
or my silence for judgment,
know this:
I’m usually just listening, to life, to people, to God as I understand Him.
My Faith Is Lived, Not Advertised
I don’t always speak my beliefs out loud.
Not because I lack them, but because I respect them.
Spiritually, I believe:
What’s real doesn’t need constant defense
What’s sacred doesn’t beg for validation
What’s meant for you finds you quietly
So when I create, I’m not trying to convince you of anything.
I’m offering a window.
Take what resonates.
Leave what doesn’t.
That freedom matters to me.
Why I Create the Way I Do
When I press record, I’m not chasing moments.
I’m acknowledging them.
Creation, for me, is spiritual because it requires presence.
You can’t fake attention.
You can’t rush meaning.
You can’t manufacture depth without stillness.
Every frame, every word, every pause is my way of saying:
“I was here. I noticed. This mattered.”
If You’re Trying to Understand Me
Start here:
I’m not withdrawn—I’m reflective.
I’m not lost—I’m listening.
I’m not distant—I’m intentional.
Spiritually, I move slow on purpose.
I believe clarity comes after patience.
And I trust that those meant to understand me… eventually will.
Love Always,
SID
